What you get

One fine art print created from a watercolor painting by Kim Everhard, printed on archival cotton paper.

But this is not just a pretty piece of paper. This is the culmination of many hours of exploration, creative planning, painting and editing.

First Kim captured the imagery from nature that inspired this artwork, either hiking a new trail or exploring familiar landscapes.

Next she create many sketches to get to just the right one.

She carefully tore the cotton paper, mixed the paint and created the composition that she would work on for many hours, painting layer upon layer of colorful watercolor paint onto paper.

With the painting finally complete, she scanned, edited and got her work ready to print. Careful to maintain the colors, contrasts and feel of the original painting so that the print is hardly discernible from the painting.

She signs and writes the title in the bottom border of each art print.

With each order you will also receive a hand-written note from the artist, and a framing guide so you don't have to worry about figuring out how it display it on your own.

The specs

Each print is made to order in Kim's NE Ohio studio with archival materials that will last a lifetime. When properly framed art prints colors will stay strong and vibrant as you enjoy them through the decades.

Each print has at least a half inch border for framing.

The print shown in the images is 8 x 10 inches. This design is available in three standard sizes: 8 x 10, 11 x 14 and 12 x 18.

Colors are matched as best as possible to the original artwork using the Giclée method of printing. This method uses archival ink on cotton paper to create a fine art reproduction of the original art.

Keep in mind that there are differences in color between your computer's monitor and the paper so there may be slight color discrepancy between what you see on the screen and the print itself.

How it gets to you

5 x 7 and 8 x 10 size prints are packaged in a clear plastic sleeve and shipped in a flat rigid mailer. Sizes 9 x 12, 11 x 14 and 12 x 16 prints are rolled and shipped in a tube mailer.

About the design

A tranquil scene from a backpacking camping trip to West Virginia. Painted from a photo that I took on my second night camping with a group of friends in Dolly Sods Wilderness, West Virginia. In the painting I wanted to capture the feeling of waking up in your campsite, the light of the morning making the colors beautifully saturated but still soft. I can almost still hear quiet stream trickling by just on the other side of their tent.
