About the design:
One of the ways that I love to experience nature is through backpacking. If you aren't familiar with it, that means we throw everything we need for a few days into a backpack, drive to wherever we're going, hike for most of the day, then set up camp with what we have in our backpacks. It doesn't sound that great from that description but it is one of the best ways to get away from the chaos of everyday life and enjoy some peace and quiet in nature. This scene that I painted was along the trail on one of our backpacking trips. We stopped here to filter water and I loved the way the golden hues landed on the water.
