More about the inspiration for this painting:
This artwork was inspired by a spot along the Colorado Trail. Read all about my section hiking adventure along the trail here in my blog. I was attracted to this scene because of the fallen tree laying on the pile of rocks made a really nice composition and the trees in the background were beautiful. I also loved the pattern on the log in the bottom right of the painting.
