About the design:
This painting was inspired by one of my favorite backpacking campsites we've stayed at so far. We stayed here on our second night camping with a group of friends in Dolly Sods Wilderness, West Virginia. In the painting I wanted to capture the feeling of waking up in the campsite, the light of the morning making the colors beautifully saturated but still soft. I can almost hear the quiet stream trickling right beside our tent.
