How I make these hand painted ornaments

I start with a kiln-dried wood slice and create my painting directly on the wood with acrylic paints. Once the paint has dried I apply a couple thin coats of varnish to protect the painting. Once the paint and varnish is set and hardened I finish the ornament off with a small hook screwed in the top and a delicate ribbon.

Now it's ready to display and be enjoyed for many holiday seasons!
