This is a scene from my backpacking trip to the Wind River Range in Wyoming. Painted from a photo that I took on our second day hiking in the Cirque De Towers area of the Winds. What I love about this painting is the happy feeling that it brings me. I tried to capture the feeling of being on top of this plateau, after just climbing a really difficult mountain pass and finding such a picturesque view in this mountain meadow. Seeing things like this along the trail give me the inspiration to keep hiking, because who knows what more beautiful things lay ahead.
